It's for the largest cider tasting event
The Stable, in collaboration with the Cider Box, are hosting an official world record attempt for the largest cider tasting event on Saturday the 18h of August. 20% of purchased tickets for the record breaking attempt will go to charity, Dorset Mind.
The current record, held by The Oast House in Manchester, stands at 255 people, so they will need all the help they can get to beat it and make it into the history books.
Dan Heath from The Cider Box came up with the idea to try to better the record. He said" “It’s a dream, a fruity fermented dream, to be bringing the World Record home to The West Country from the North. And to Exeter’s Cathedral to Cider, where we’ll raise a glass and taste eight of the finest ciders in the land as we go through the shortlist. Paired with a slice of cheese or two, we aim to smash the current world record, enjoy some fine fermented juice, and raise some money for a cause close to our hearts, mind."
