After 40 years in Magnolia Centre home, branch ups sticks and goes to WHSmiths
Exmouth's main post office is set to close its current doors in the new year and relocate into the embrace of a national chain store.
The branch will only be a few metres away from the current location, but is expected to save the Post Office money.
They're asking people what they like about the plans - but not what they don't like.
They do want to suggestions about what could make the proposed move better.
Post Office account card holders won't be able to use the ATMs at WHSmiths. They're advised the nearest Post Office ATM is in Princesshay. Exeter.
The branch in Smiths will have five counters and two self-service kiosks.
Town Councillor Bill Nash wants Exmouth residents to make their views know by the time the consultation ends next Wednesday. He says it's good news that Exmouth will retain full post office services.
