Barnstaple-born player back at boyhood club
Defender Danny Seaborne has re-signed with Exeter City after eight years.
The 30-year-old, who made 86 appearances for the club, helped the club win back-to-back promotions from the Conference to League One between 2007 and 2009.
Speaking about his return, manager Paul Tisdale told the club's website: “We are pleased to welcome Danny back to St James Park. He was a popular figure in his previous spell, having graduated from the club’s youth academy. He will strengthen the competition for places we have in defence.”
Centre backs Troy Brown and Luke Croll are out injured at the moment.
The announcement took some fans by surprise, but as the Tweets below show, many were happy to see Seaborne back at St James Park.
