A van driver who killed a 10-year-old Crediton boy in a hit and run accident in the town earlier this year has been sentenced to four years in jail.
Samuel Crocker suffered fatal injuries in the collision on February 28th.
24 year old Cameron Trivett of Mill Street in Crediton pleaded guilty in an earlier hearing to causing his death by careless driving, while under the influence of drink or drugs.
He also admitted to being uninsured and failing to stop after the accident.
