Edie-Anne suffered a stroke at 18 months old

A fundraiser's been launched to help a three-year-old girl in Cranbrook who suffered a stroke when she was just 18 months old.

In February 2022, Edie-Anne's mum Rebecca woke her up in the morning but she couldn't move and was very sleepy. She was then taken to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital before transferred to Bristol's children's intensive care unit.

Edie-Anne now struggles to communicate with people as that's the part of her brain which died. Some of the money raised will go towards an iPad for Edie with an app which will become her voice.

Unfortunately, the NHS is no longer able to help Edie-Anne so the funds will also go towards therapies needed to help with her recovery.

A company in Exeter is behind the fundraiser. Progressive are also walking 35km around the Exeter Green Circle before going on to Exmouth to give Edie-Anne and her family the cheque of the money which has been raised.
