Further controversy over Exmouth slipway

The row over the use of Belshers Slipway in Exmouth rumbles on, as the person tasked with enforcing rules resigns their post.

East Devon District Council announced earlier this month that they would carry out a consultation, giving local residents and users of Belshers Slipway the chance to comment on its use.

It follows complaints about noise and anti social behaviour by people living nearby, as well as comments from those who use the slipway.

In the lastest development the civil enforcement officer, who was tasked with managing the use of the slipway and beach, has quit after the situation became difficult to manage.

The consultation on whether or not to introduce a public space protection order ends on the 7th of September.
