He is hit by Landrover
A pedestrian hit by a vehicle just 10 minutes away from Christmas Day is in hospital with serious injuries.
The incident at 11.50 p.m. on Christmas Eve involved a pedestrian and a Grey Landrover Discovery on Fore Street, in Dolton.
The victim's next of kin have been informed and the road was closed for some time.
Police are asking for any witnesses, dashcam or CCTV footage o contact them on 101 quoting log number 873 of 24 December.
