The solar panels on Exeter City Council buildings have generated more power than expected.
The hot summer means more power has been supplied in the eight months since they were fitted in March than was predicted for the whole year.
The panels are on, among others, the Civic Centre, Oakwood House offices and the museum's storage facility.
