Judge rules that tumour surgery must go ahead

A seven-year-old boy from Tiverton at the centre of a legal dispute over his cancer treatment will undergo more surgery on a brain tumour today - against his mother's wishes.

Sally Roberts wants an operation on son Neon delayed until doctors abroad have been consulted about the need for further surgery.
The case went to the High Court yesterday where a judge ruled in favour of the treatment, after a specialist said an operation needed to be carried out urgently and that without it Neon could die in a matter of months.
