It's affecting traffic between J23 (Bridgwater) and J22 (Burnham)
Highways England says lane 1 and 2 of the M5 have now reopened, after a serious crash in Somerset.
There's still a lane closed in both directions between J23 for Bridgwater and J22 for Burnham.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue service says the collision happened on the southbound carriageway, but one vehicle overturned onto the northbound carriageway, with one person trapped inside.
They have been left in the care of Paramedics, and Police and Highways England are managing lane closures.
UPDATE: #M5 J22 #BurnhamOnSea and J23 #Bridgwater we now have lanes 1 and 2 open in both directions
