Van stolen too
A man has been attacked and a van stolen in an incident in Barnstaple.
Police received reports of an assault in Pulchrass Street, at around 9 p.m. on Wednesday 22 June, in which a man sustained head and facial injuries, which required hospital treatment.
The keys to a van were also taken and the vehicle was later found severely damaged by fire at the Pilton Causeway car park, between 11.10 p.m. and 11.30 p.m.
A 34-year-old man from the Barnstaple area was arrested on suspicion of robbery and has been released on police bail, to return on Wednesday 20 July, pending further enquiries.
