Crash on private woodland near Moretonhampsted on Saturday.
A man believed to be in his sixties and from East Devon has died during a hill-climb on private woodland near Clifford Bridge, Dunsford.
The incident, on Saturday afternoon, involved a vehicle taking part in an organised event.
Police say one person died and another was taken to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.
Neither victim has been named at this stage.
Witnesses are asked to call the Exeter Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting log 367 of 7 January.
