Man suffers fractures in unprovoked attack

Plymouth police seeking two suspects

A man has serious facial injuries following an unprovoked attack in Plymouth just before Christmas.

Police have just released details of the assault in Trelawney Avenue in the St Budeaux area of the city between 11pm and 11.30pm on Tuesday 20 December.

The was repeatedly punched by two men not known to him and possibly hit with an unknown object.

The victim, in his forties and from Plymouth, suffered facial fractures and cuts that required hospital treatment.

Police are looking for two suspects. One is white, around 5ft 10ins tall, of large build, and wearing a black coat. The second man is also white, between 6ft and 6ft 2ins tall, of slim build, and was wearing a grey hoodie.

Detectives are also hoping to trace two people who were on nearby Colebrook Road and tried to help the victim. They may hold information which can assist with police enquiries.
