A 29-year-old man remains in police custody after he was tasered yesterday [2 October] when he reportedly assaulted an officer.
Police attended a report of domestic violence yesterday afternoon in Barnstaple, when the suspect returned home and became violent.
He left the officer with a cut to his arm, which is “not thought to be serious”.
A spokesperson said the man was arrested on suspicion of four offences.
"A 29-year-old man arrested on suspicion of Common Assault; harassment; resisting arrest and violence against and emergency worker.
"He remains in police custody."
