Police are looking for a man in Tiverton, wanted in connection with a number of domestic-related threats.
Officers were called to Angel Hill in the town at 6pm last night [9 November], shutting the road to Bridge Street.
In a statement, police said: "Due to the nature of the threats, armed officers, a police dog and response officers were deployed."
The victim has been safeguarded by officers, whilst enquiries to find the male continue.
