A man who's been helping to rescue lost or vulnerable people on Dartmoor for 42 years has been awarded an MBE.
Alec Collyer founded the Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team and has been involved in many dangerous operations.
He says a lot of their work nowadays is in conjunction with the police, who call them out regularly to search for vulnerable missing persons.
They also cover urban areas as well as the moorland.
Meanwhile, the well-known Devon author Michael Morpurgo has been knighted in the New Year Honours.
