Devon and Cornwall Police have confirmed a man, whose body was found on the M5 Motorway, may have fallen onto the carriageway from a bridge.
They believe he might have been hit by a number of vehicles on the road at Willand, near Cullompton.
The motorway was shut for a number of hours between junctions 29 and 27 after the discovery of the body in the early hours of Saturday morning.
