The MP for Exeter has welcomed the news that plans for regional pay deals in the NHS have been scrapped.
The announcement came during the Chancellor's Autumn Statement yesterday.
A consortium including the RD&E Hospital and Devon Partnership NHS Trust had been looking to break away from the national agreement and set their own pay scales.
Ben Bradshaw had been campaigning against the move... saying that a change from national bargaining would open the door to lower pay in regions like the South West.
The health minister will now ask the 19 health trusts in the consortium, asking them to respect the national pay bargaining programme.
