The MP for Exeter has welcomed a government commitment to look again at the benefits for the region's economy of a new railway line avoiding Dawlish.
The main line was out of action for eight weeks earlier this year after it was washed away by storms.
Since then there have been calls for an alternative inland route, which Network rail's analysis suggested wouldn't be cost effective.
But the government are re-examining that decision and Ben Bradshaw thinks they're right to - as the original analysis didn't take into account the huge economic benefits a new line would bring the area.
