East Devon councillors are writing to MPs Hugo Swire and Neil Parish over the loss of community hospital beds in their constituencies. The changes by the local Clinical Commissioning Group will see fewer inpatient beds at Exmouth and Honiton - and
none at all at Ottery hospital.
That goes against the recommendations of a stakeholder group set up by the CCG - they said the beds should be retained.
Concerned councillors are asking the MPs to take up the matter directly with Jeremy Hunt.
