40-year-old man attacked in city centre passes away after nine days
A murder enquiry's underway in Exeter nine days after a man was attacked in the High Street.
The 40 year-old victim hasn't been named. He'd been critically ill in hospital since being beaten up outside the Tesco store near the junction with Gandy Street a week last Saturday around 11 o'clock in the evening. After initially being taken to the RD&E, he was transferred to Derriford Hospital for treatment to serious injuries.
31 year-old Guy Pottle from Beacon Heath's already been charged with grevious bodily harm in relation to the incident.
