Twenty-one ponies which had been kept in poor conditions by a man in Ide have been transferred into the care of an animal sanctuary.
74 year old Leslie Weatherill from The Hams was disqualified from keeping animals for life in April, and lost two appeals against the ban in August.
A judge ruled that Devon and Somerset Trading Standards could take possession of the ponies, and they arranged for the animal sanctuary in Norfolk to take them in.
