A £4 million redevelopment of part of Exeter's Quay has today been unveiled.
Exeter's Bikeshed Theatre have announced plans to convert the old Maritime Museum into a creative and leisure venue.
As well as a bar, cafe and market, there will also be a 250 seat theatre and separate rehearsal rooms and studio space.
The group will apply for grants from the Heritage Lottery Fund, the Arts Council for England and the European Regional Development Fund.
A public consultation will now take place before funding is applied for.
