Person hit by car
A pedestrian has been killed after being hit by a vehilce on the A38 near Buckfastleigh.
Emergency services were called to one of the main routes through Devon around 12.35 p.m. on Sunday lunchtime.
The casualty died at the scene of the incident on the Plymouth-bound carriageway at Dean Prior.
The road was closed in both directions for some hours.
Police are asking for witnesses to get involved by calling 101 and quoting log number 393 of 2 October.
