82-year-old taken to hospital
An elderly woman has been taken to hospital following a crash in East Devon that led to her being extracted from her vehicle by fire crew.
Devon Fire & Rescue Service, South Western Ambulance crew and the police attended the collision on the A3052 at Branscombe on Saturday afternoon.
The road was closed to allow the 82 year-old to be extracted from her car and treated before being taken to hospital.
The road remained closed for a short while after the other services had completed their work to allow for investigation and vehicle recovery.
