Three people have escaped from a fire at a property in Exeter.
Firefighters were called out at ten past eleven last night to Sampsons Lane in the Heavitree area...when they arrived the house was already well alight.
Six crews from as far away as Exmouth and Crediton tackled the blaze. Three people were taken to hospital suffering from the effects of breathing in smoke.
The fire is believed to have started accidentally.
