The incident closed off part of the town centre
A person has been taken to a place of safety, after being spotted on the wrong side of railings on a Torquay bridge yesterday evening [16 October].
Police were called to Fleet Walk in the town at around 4pm, with the incident closing roads in the area for just over three hours.
The female was eventually brought down, with the help of police negotiators. The fire service also attended the scene
In a statement, police added: “The female was safely brought down at around 7.15pm and taken to a place of safety. Roads were re-opened.”
Road were closed at the Clock Tower and the junction on Meadfoot Road.
