Labour and Conservatives each have 24 seats
Plymouth remains in a state of no overall control following Thursday's local elections in which about a third of the seats were contested.
Labour and Conservatives now both having 24 seats - both up slightly at the expense of independent councillors who lost four seats.
The Green Party now has a Plymouth councillor.
And it’s thought the first trans councillor in the south west has been elected. Labour’s Dylan Tippets is a new councillor for the Compton ward.
The Conservatives have undergone a period of turmoil, replacing their leader over the past few months. The party led the council until Thursday's elections.
With Labour and Tories having an equal number of seats, who runs the council will now depend on what deals can be done with the other members.
