Exmouth and Tiverton police stations lose their front offices today - meaning people can't just walk in to talk to an officer.
They're among 12 police stations in Devon and Cornwall where the front desk is closing - to save the force around 760 thousand pounds a year.
The front office at Exeter's Heavitree Road police station will remain open six days a week.
The police say the number of people using the front desks was falling.. as now they can contact officers via the force website.
