The local police and crime commissioner Tony Hogg has delivered his petition for fairer funding to Downing Street this afternoon.
More than eight and a half thousand people signed the petition calling for the way police funding is allocated by the Government to be adjusted so that large rural forces are no longer disadvantaged.
Speaking after he handed in the document, Mr Hogg said he felt satisfied that he'd made a very strong and reasonable case on behalf of local residents.
