There's been a spate of thefts of fuel from vehicles in the Ottery St Mary area.
Four cars have had fuel taken this week - in one case a vehicle parked in Raleigh Road had the whole petrol tank removed.
Two had their fuel tanks drilled and another had its petrol cap forced off.
All the incidents have happened at night and police are urging owners to be vigilant.
