The Exe Hockey Club are expecting the Olympic success of their former player Maddie Hinch to attract new local players to the sport.
Goalkeeper Maddie kept her cool during the tense penalty shoot-out with the Netherlands and blocked all four attempts - enabling Team GB to win gold.
Her former team captain at Exmouth Jackie Shute says she's delighted with her success and thinks it will be an inspiration to other local players.
