Radio Exe has highest-ever listening figure

Another record-breaking result

Devon's Radio Exe has achieved its highest-ever listening figure.

Total listening to the station is now five per cent higher than last quarter - and the station has added thousands more listeners in the last year too.

Audience research is conducted independently by national pollsters IpsosMORI for the radio industry body Rajar, and measures Radio Exe in its historically core area of Exeter, Mid and East Devon and Torbay.

Around eighty thousand adults now tune to the station in that area every month.

In the last three months, the average time they listen to the station has risen by just over an hour each week.

Separately, the station also has its own digital data that measures listening to online and apps to the Radio Exe Plymouth streams.

The audience for Radio Exe's morning show has grown threefold since Matt Rogers took over the programme in 2021.

Programme manager Ashley Jeary says: "The audience figures constantly surprise us, and we've had something to celebrate every time the new figures have been published for some time now.

"Along with our sister stations, Radio Exe Flashback and Devoncast Radio, and our range of speech-based podcasts, we have something for everyone to enjoy, and we can't thank our loyal listeners and advertisers enough."
