New figures show big rise in past year

New listening figures show that the amount of time listening spend tuned to Radio Exe have more than doubled in the past year, according to industry body Rajar.

The statistics reveal that 84,000 adults are thought to now turn to the station every quarter.

Rajar only measures Radio Exe in the Exeter, Mid and East Devon, Torbay and Teignbridge areas, so the figures don't include listening in Plymouth, South Hams, West and North Devon or in East Cornwall, where Radio Exe is available on DAB digital radio.

Listening to all the station's shows have grown, with a rise in both the number of listeners and the length of time they tune in over the past 12 months.

Radio Exe's managing director Paul Nero says: "Thanks to the unwavering support of our audience and our dedicated advertisers, we've received a tremendous boost in our listenership. Their trust and partnership are essential to our growth, and we extend our thanks to them.

"We're wholeheartedly committed to maintaining this momentum by delivering engaging and captivating shows that resonate with our ever-expanding audience, and keeps people coming back for more."
