Josh Tate will descend over 100 feet on Saturday
Radio Exe reporter Josh Tate is abseiling from the top of Exeter Cathedral’s north tower to raise funds for the building of its new Cloister Gallery.
The structure will connect the cathedral with the thirteenth-century Chapter House and Pearson Building, which aims to make it a better place for community gatherings.
Josh, who was named Britain’s youngest newsreader at 16, is set to descend over 100 feet on Saturday 4 May – let’s hope he’s not afraid of heights!
The plan is for Josh to begin his descent before lunchtime and anyone is welcome to come and watch from the Cathedral Green.
He hopes to raise £500 from fundraising so if you would like to support his goal, you can get behind him by donating to the Just Giving page below.
Every penny counts.
