A Tiverton woman who ran away with her seven year old son to prevent him having radiotherapy for a brain tumour, is reported to have accepted that the treatment may be needed.
Sally Roberts sparked a nationwide police hunt last week when she and her son Neon went missing... they were found safely in Sussex.
She's said to have believed the radiotherapy was unnnecessary and could cause Neon long-term harm.. but he's had a further scan which may indicate that his tumour has returned, and will need the treatment.
The case went before a High Court judge last week but he delayed a decision in the light of 'developments' in Neon's condition.
