Prince Edward is in the City today (22 July) to open the Haven Banks Centre.
The centre, on the Quayside - to replace the existing, outdated site near the canal basin cost just over £5.5m to build.Activities available include sailing, caving, archery and climbing.
Devon County Council paid for the building but it will be run by Exeter College on a day-to-day basis.
Principal Richard Atkins said, "This is a really good chance for youngster from the age of 3,4,5 - all the way up to 18, 21 and beyond to take measured risks in a health and safety environment but through really exciting activities that gets them outdoors and gets them taking part in physically and mentally challenging tasks"
