Devon's Police and Crime Commissioner Alison Hernandez says she needs your help to decide whether Devon & Cornwall Police should merge with Dorset Police.
The 2 forces have been sharing some services - like HR & IT for some time. But this would see one big force, sharing a Chief Constable.
A final decision will be made in September. A new, shadow force would become operational next year and then in 2020 there are elections for a new Police & Crime Commissioner. Alison Hernandez says she will stand again to represent the 3 counties if the merger happens. The Police and Crime Commissioner would then have to appoint one Chief Constable.
