The Royal British Legion want to say thank you to the World War One generation.
The silhouettes can be seen outside the Guidhall and the Civic Centre, as well as on the Paris Street roundabout heading into the City Centre.
Claudia Kelly (pictured left), The Royal British Legion’s Community Fundraiser for Devon North, said: “Everyone has a reason to say ‘thank you’ as we all have a connection to the First World War. We are encouraging businesses, community groups and individuals to get involved by displaying a Silhouette in their place of work, community or home. I would like to thank Exeter City Council for supporting The Royal British Legion in helping to say ‘thank you’”
Cllr Emma Morse (pictured right), Exeter City’s Armed Forces Champion, said: “We’re delighted to be supporting this initiative and displaying four of these striking Silhouettes outside the Civic Centre and throughout the city. The Silhouettes are already turning heads around Exeter and act as a perfect reminder to the sacrifices of the First World War generation.”
