The number of dog attacks on farm livestock in Devon was up by 50 per cent last year compared to 2014, according to insurers NFU Mutual.
That's more than the regional average - there was an increase of 35 per cent across the south west as a whole.
Dog walkers are being urged to check fields for livestock, and keep their pets on a lead when they're near farm animals.
