Two of them are 15
Three teenagers who threw bricks and rocks during last months’ riots in Plymouth have been sentenced.
Two 15-year-old boys and a 17-year-old boy appeared at the city's Youth Court on Monday, September 23rd, after being found guilty of violent disorder - they can't be named for legal reasons.
All three were identified through CCTV footage and police bodycam recordings as throwing bricks and rocks at police officers and members of the public during the disturbances.
Each of them were given a 12-month referral order.
Detective Sergeant Dan Barter said: “The events that night caused serious fear in the community.
We have seen dozens of people who were intent on causing harm prosecuted for their involvement. These boys could have caused serious injury by acting so recklessly and it is right that they also faced justice today.”
