An app designed by Exeter University students could win an international prize.
Computer science undergraduates have devised a home security system that allows doors to be locked and unlocked using a mobile phone.
The competition was run by the technology company Thales and entrants had to use one of their micro-processors.
The Exeter team are up against one other from the UK and two from America.
