Ex-hurricane Lorenzo will reach the South West.
Exeter's Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for wind on Friday.
It covers Cornwall and large parts of Devon between 4am and 4pm.
The warning says to expect:
- Some delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport are likely
- Delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges likely
- Some short term loss of power and other services is possible
- It’s likely that some coastal routes, sea fronts and coastal communities are affected by spray and/or large waves
There had been some uncertainty of the path hurricane Lorenzo would take, but the forecaster has confirmed it will not be a hurricane by the time it hits the UK on Thursday and Friday.
