Police are investigating a three-vehicle crash in Dawlish yesterday evening which has left a woman with life-threatening head injuries.
Her car was hit from behind by a flatbed vehicle on the A379, as she was stationery behind another vehicle waiting to turn right into the Smugglers Inn.
The woman, in her 60s from Bovey Tracey, is in a critical condition in Derriford hospital - the flatbed driver escaped with minor injuries.
Police are appealing for witnesses - and would particularly like to hear from the driver of the vehicle which was waiting to turn right into the pub.
