Crews say an early call made all the difference.
A woman and her pet rabbit and rat have been rescued from a heavily smoke-logged house in Exmouth.
Crews were called to Lovelace Crescent just after 8pm on Monday (7th October).
They say alarms were sounding and that "minutes really did make a difference".
The police are now investigating the cause of the fire.
