Young speedway star makes debut with Exeter Falcons

Henry Atkins, aged 15, made history on Friday 27th May 2016 being the youngest ever rider to race for the Falcons and what made this even more special is that Henry is from Exeter and attends Westexe School.

The weather was not kind to the Falcons and due to a heavy thunder storm the meeting was abandoned after three races.

However young Henry showed plenty of promise, he didn’t make one of his fast starts but after 2 laps had worked his way from last into second to follow his team partner home for a maximum 5-1. It was a shame that the rain prevented the meeting from continuing but the Falcons were 10-8 up at this point and young Henry looked like he was going to have a good night. Many fans said his race was the ride of the night in very difficult conditions.

The Falcons management looked to restage this meeting and details of this will be announced soon.

Henry has a very bright future in both Speedway and Grasstrack and this is made possible by his sponsors, Somerset Speedway and his Dad.
