Charity skydive to remember young player
An Exeter football team member is taking to the skies to remember one of their youngest players who passed away late last year.
18-year-old Harvey McWilliams, a devoted Sunderland fan, joined Exeter Royals FC (formerly Exeter Panthers Seniors) after moving to the city to start university. He tragically died before Christmas.
Soon after, the club set up a memorial fund in his name to support men facing mental health issues in the local community and to honour and remember their much-loved player, Harvey.
Associate manager, Steve Bridges will Skydive from 15,000 ft on Sunday 28 August to help those struggling with mental health and will be sporting a Sunderland club shirt in Harvey's memory … even though he’s an avid Birmingham City supporter!
Exeter Royals say: “Harvey was a very caring, generous young man, who always helped others. We are devastated he's no longer with us, but hope his legacy will live on as he remains firmly in our hearts.”
