University investigates racist slogans

Exeter University has launched an investigation after racist and anti-Semitic slogans were written on students' T-shirts during a pub crawl.

The event last Tuesday night was hosted by the university's Snowsports club and was a so-called 'white T-shirt night' when students are encouraged to scribble words on each other's tops with felt-tip pens.
But there was horror when a Palestinian student posted photos taken at the event on Facebook, showing phrases including 'The Holocaust was a good time' and 'don't speak to me if you're not white'.
The University says it doesn't tolerate anti-Semitic, racist or bigoted behaviour and is investigating.
And the university's Athletic Union says it also has zero tolerance for racism and has banned white T-shirt events in response to the incident.
