University mental health services 'inadequate'

Concerns are being raised that mental health support for Exeter University students, both on and off campus, is inadequate.


The university's wellbeing centre is seeing a continuing rise in demand for help and last term it was forced to close its referral list for cognitive behaviour therapy, after waiting times exceeded six weeks.

During Mental Health Week, there have been a series of activities raising awareness of the issue ... and highlighting the other sources of help available.
