Victory parade planned to celebrate rugby trophy

The Exeter Chiefs have won a major trophy for the first time in their history, beating Northampton Saints 15 - 8 at Sandy Park to win the LV Anglo Welsh Cup. .


The Saints are currently top of the Premiership; the Chiefs eighth -- but Exeter led throughout, following an early try from Chris Whitehead.

Head coach Rob Baxter says it was a well-deserved victory and that his team played 'magnificently', putting up a strong defence that was key to their victory.

The club are now planning a victory parade to celebrate and show off the silverware.
